Wow -- "Prom" magazine and a couple of minutes at the Super Bowl. All those AI votes really shot her into stardom!

Regardless of how long it takes to sing the National Anthem, it is a hure world wide audience & I reckon there are many folks that would kill for the opportunity of doing it.

I'm still confused about why there has been no tour type of announcments.

Is she under 18? Under 21? Maybe there are more legalities, etc., to work out.

She's older than Hanna Montana.. er,um... Miley Cyrus. She definitely wouldn't be headlining a tour, but I don't see any reason for her not to open for some other big name star.

Las Vegas is actually offering a bet for Over/Under 1 Min. 44 Secs...
    Make your wagers!!

Jeff Haney analyzes the numerous offbeat Super Bowl ‘prop’ bets - Las Vegas Sun

Over/under on the time of “The Star-Spangled Banner”: Despite what someone in the national media will erroneously state sometime in the next week and half, you cannot legally bet on the length of the national anthem in Las Vegas. By law, wagers in Nevada sports books must relate to the outcome of a sporting event. You might find this prop on an underground line or with an offshore sports book, however. Last year, Billy Joel reportedly went “under” the consensus line of 1 minute, 44 seconds. Typically, the clock starts at “Oh” and ends at the song’s conclusion -- including any “yeahs” or other vocal flourishes. As a reference point, this year’s singer, Jordin Sparks, of “American Idol” fame, completed a rendition of the anthem in 1:40 at last year’s NBA Finals.

She did a good job with the national anthem. I had no idea her father was a football player.

Apparently, there is a lot of talk about if she lip synced the performance but according to someone on Youtube FOX Superbowl forced her to pre-record it and lip sync it because they didnt want any mistakes to be made.

However, I'm kinda disappointed at the people who are bashing her for it. If FOX forcing her to do it to be safe was true it still was her voice and she did record it before. Most of all she is an American Idol contestant and winner she has shown she can sing and blow it out of the box live. I can understand if she was a different type of singer, like if she was discovered not by a competition that was judged on LIVE performances, then itd be different. But she has proved many times before that she definitely CAN sing live and just because either she or FOX didnt want to make a mistake on the superbowl doesnt make her any less of a good singer.

    Just my opinion
