    George Trice - Group 3

    From the official site:

    Age: 21
    From: Henderson, TN
Favorite Song: "Who's Lovin' You" by Jackson 5
    Idol: Brian McKnight

    Do you have a job?
Not really. I'm a full-time college student and doing internship on campus.

Do you have any formal singing training?
    No.

    Where have you performed before?
Freed-Hardeman host of Makin' Music for two years, 2000 and 2001. Various churches and youth camps with a recruiting group from college.

When did you first start to sing?
Too young to remember, but I started performing locally at age 11.

What is your favorite song to sing?
    "Unchained Melody".

What is the first concert you went to?
I just remember them being old and country.

What is the last concert you went to?
    Edwin McCain.

What other talents do you have?
    Training dogs.

If you don't make it on AMERICAN IDOL, what will you do?
I still hope to do music. If not, I will be a talent scout/agent.

What are your goals in life?
#1 goal is to live a Christian life and I hope to leave a positive influence with people I meet. I don't want to work a regular 9 to 5 job, therefore, I'll never give up on my dreams.

What album would your friends be surprised you own?
    Dolly Parton.

What is the first CD you ever bought?
I think it was a Boyz II Men CD.

What is in your CD player right now?
    Eric Benet.

    Who is your AMERICAN IDOL?
I like Brian McKnight's voice, but I think he adds some class to the industry and deserves respect.

What is your favorite type of music?
R&B/pop. It's hard to say because I like so many different styles. Depends on the mood I'm in.

    What is your favorite song?
    "Who's Lovin' You" - Jackson 5.

    Favorite male pop artist?
I just heard Craig David's new CD and I'm liking it a lot.

    Favorite female pop artist?
Christina Aguilera. She is one of the young artists that can actually sing and she's not afraid to be herself.

    Favorite album?
    The Jackson 5 Collection.

Who in the music world do you think your style is most like?
I think the industry lacks a true powerhouse male voice, but I guess I would say more of a Luther Vandross style (even though he's old school).

    Most embarrassing moment?
Too embarrassed to say my most, but once I was singing at a wedding and my mic wasn't working and the tape sounded warped. But people said I played it cool.

If you couldn't sing, which talent would you most like to have?
Basketball. Being bi-racial, I can truly say that I took the white side when it comes to b-ball. I'm athletic but I suck at basketball.

What has been your proudest moment in life so far?
I guess receiving a standing ovation for my performance at college. Seeing the crowd's reaction opened my eyes BIG TIME and I knew then that I wanted to perform for the rest of my life.

What is your definition of an AMERICAN IDOL?
Someone that has great character and can be a role model for people. Also, someone that people can relate too.

Why do you want to be an AMERICAN IDOL?
I just want a chance to share my talent with the world.

Do you think the audition process was fair?
    Yeah, pretty much.

Who is your favorite judge and why?
That's a hard one. Paula has been nothing but nice to me the entire time, but the other judges have been too. I respect Simon's way of telling it like it is and Randy always throws in kind words to me.

Who is your least favorite judge and why?
I don't have one. I think they make a great combination and all bring something different to the table.

What advice do you have for other hopefuls?
Find out what it is you want to do with your talent and go for it. One thing's for sure, it's not just gonna come to you.

What would people be surprised to learn about you?
I am a dog fancier. I own two Dobermans and they are my pride and joy. All my friends would know that, but it's still a bit surprising to some.

Who did you think was going to win last season?
    Tamyra Gray.

If you could be a performer from any era, which would you choose and why?
Doo wop. I just love the harmonies and beats of that era. That was when people really sang.

I don't recall this guy at all.

He replaced Jaered Andrews, though the show has not said why.

I can't recall Jaered either to be honest.

Hmmm, I wonder if anyone here can remember Jaered.
I also wonder why he was replaced.

Thanks for the link to that article, rbk3, but it says the same thing every other article says: "he was replaced for undisclosed reasons."

jeez, I can't even remember him from last night....

What did he sing? There were a couple of contestants whose song choices were so bad.

He sang "Unchained Melody" and was the last one to perform. I thought he did a nice job, but I also thought he sounded awfully quiet/tentative.

I thought he did a pretty good job with it.
He has a nice voice imo and I think he sang well, but agree that he did seem very tentative.
