I agree she will probably be in the bottom three, but by no means should she be there.

And I disagree with Carrie being in the bottom three. Might happen, but don't think it should. Her ventures into rock are still better than most of the others' ventures into ANY genre.
Constantine really bugs me. If I closed my eyes, the sound was good, but I can't stand watching him. Maybe it's just me...

I really enjoy reading your take each week.

I thought I was the only one who liked both Nadia's and Carrie's performances. Carries was a little weird but still better than most I've see over the past seasons. It's a weird and new genre of music for Carrie to jump into but I enjoyed it.

No you are not the only one who is bugged or who can't stand watching Constantine...there are probably millions of us...his grimaces into the camera seem so contrived and fake to me, and he seems to be extremely full of himself. His head is getting so big he could float off the stage anytime now.

I imagine the producers are discussing right now, "what to do about Paula?" I've always liked her and didn't mind her being "too nice" but her behavior this season is over the top and often doesn't make any sense, not that she made sense before but her comments have become completely meaningless.

Paula is up on her feet yet again. (While I’m thinking about it, can someone please tell me what her purpose on the show is, anyway?)

(Oh, shut up, Paula. Just shut up.)

(While she’s up, could someone escort her out of the building, please?)
I so agree, Lobeck. Paula needs to go...she is useless.

I agree that Paula's commentary is that of a one-note, but I do think she has a role on the show. Imagine if the panel were three honest people -- it would be a constant stream of downers. Imagine three Simons, it would be dreadful and no fun to watch. There has to be an up side. So, just ignore her..she's a cheerleader. She's there to represent the audience of 12-year-olds to whom this show's winner will be marketed.

    Great recap Lobeck.

I was at reheasals and the taping on Tuesday and Wednesday and while I thought Nadia sounded terrific and looked the great too, unfortunately the song was unfamiliar to many people. Actually the only one who hit some flat notes was Scott. During rehearsals he was better than during the show however. Anwar was actually the best he has been all season.

Constantine going last was actually the best thing about the show. You are right Lobeck, he brought the house down. I had been to a few shows at the beginning and this was the first time I had seen such a reaction. It appears that Constantine's fan base is growing by leaps and bounds and IMO righfully so.

Recap Far Better than the Show

Brand new here ... and hate to beat the sycophant horse.

But I must say (in Randy voice): "You're the dog, dog. That was the bomb. You're back, dog. Yeah, yeah, yeah. My dog pound, dog. That's the dog, dog. I'm just ai'ght. But that's the dog, bomb, dog, bomb, dog, dog, bomb. da bomb."

I've lost all patience with the show. But I am now going to read your re-caps for the rest of the season.

That's all the karaoke anyone needs.

Slaggy White JR!! I thought about saying forget about the show too but, not the same reading here without seeing the show too. I know what you mean though. Especially with the judges.
The Pats will be back next year. Watch out.....
