Here is something to look forward to on Sunday night.

John Fogerty to Join Carrie Underwood for ACM Performance

Put him in, coach. He's ready to play. That's what I keep thinking now that I know John Fogerty is going to be performing with Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley on the Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday night (April 18). I don't know exactly what they're going to sing together, just that the legendary Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will be joining country's finest for what will be a showstopper. So maybe a medley of his solo hits (like "Centerfield" and "The Old Man Down the Road") and/or some stuff from his Creedence Clearwater Revival days -- like "Proud Mary," "Green River," "Have You Ever Seen the Rain," "Bad Moon Rising" and "Travelin' Band"? Whatever they do, I know it'll sound cool to have his gravely voice in the mix with all those other signature country voices.

    Re: Carrie Underwood

For those that aren't aware, Carrie has a song on Play On called Change. It's all about helping those in need (this is going to be sung on Idol Gives Back), but the first line questions folks about what are they going to do with the 36cents stuck to their floor board while someone else need assistance. So, in that vein, Carrie announced that for the next stage of her tour, she will be donating 36 cents from every ticket sold to charity in support of Save the Children’s United States Programs.

That was nice to see, and she continues to thank Simon and 19 when she accepts her awards. She's been my favorite Idol winner by far. Congrats Carrie!!!

Those boots should find a nice spot on her mantel or something. At least until she gets married & then I reckon Mike would find a spot for them in the back of a closet somewhere.

By the way, her performance of Temporary Home was stunning & had many in the audience in tears. Beautiful Carrie, just beautiful.

That was beautiful to see, all the people moved to tears. How wonderful that she won the entertainer of the year--again.

Loved her excitement over the pink rhinestones on the triple crown award.
