Unbelieveably, they are still referring to Carrie as the American Idol Season 4 winner! Don't they know that she's won more than 20 awards in the THREE years since then? She's female vocalist of the year and just finished a successful tour with Keith Urban, and they are still referring to her AI days? Hmmmmph. ()

    Carrie's FanFest

Carrie Underwood has a meet and greet for fans at the Nashville Convention Centre during Day 3 of the CMA Music Festival in Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday.

The 25-year-old season 4 American Idol winner performed at the CMA Music Festival in an orange number on Friday.

In the July issue of Cosmopolitan, Carrie admits she sometimes is very unladylike, saying, “I burp a lot!”

    35+ pictures of Carrie Underwood’s fantastic fans…

eta: More pics of Carrie performing in orange. Gorgeous pics!!!!
I know you were being facetious & I also know why...but let me say this...

I have just returend from CMA Music Fest where I saw Carrie, Bo, Kellie Pickler, Bucky, Phill Stacey, & Josh Gracin perform & Diana DeGarmo was MC of the very last 2 hr. set on the Riverfront stages & each & every one of those folks when they were introduced had some reference to their time on AI included in the introduction. None of them seemed to have an issue with it or shrink away from it. I don't understand why fans of one particular "Idol runner up" seem to always be on the outs with this.

I sure hope this whole photo posting thing I recently learned hasn't been forgotten. If it works, here are some performance photos from LP Field Friday night.

Gees she's gorgeous! Someone posted during this past season of AI that Carrie just has star written all over her. I'd have to agree. That she's got a voice that matches her looks--well, good for her!

As of this morning Carrie's Last Name is now her 7th consecutive #1 & her 3rd as a songwriter. She has never released a single that didn't go to the #1 position. Now that's a track record to be envied.

    Best quote from that article
Getting revenge on a guy is just not worth it to me ... the best revenge I can think of is becoming famous."

Razor - sounds like you had an awesome time in Nashville. Thanks for sharing the stories and the pictures of Carrie. I'm so proud of what she has accomplished.

Is there anyone else in Country music that has had 7 (or more) consecutive #1 hits?

I really can't answer with any degree of assurance your question about the consecutive #1 hits. But, George Strait now has 56 #1's so I would assume there are a whole bunch of those that were in a row.

Everyone knows that Country Music is pretty male dominated & that the Females have a really tough time in the genre, so here is a pretty astounding stat for you & shows just what Carrie has been able to accomplish in just 3 years.

Since 2005 when Carrie first hit the charts with Jesus Take The Wheel there have been only 13 #1 singles by solo female country artists . Carrie has 7 of the 13. And no other solo female country artist has more than one #1 in that time period.
