Diana is just a sweetheart IMO. I'll leave it as that
    2003-2008.

Next year the Idol winner and runner-up should both get upbeat and fun songs. Enough is enough with corny achievement songs.
I'm glad she's doing DCO. I though it was one of the, if not the best song of the season. But I agree about Dreams. I just didn't like it on the Final show. It probably got in there simply b/c it was originally in consideration for the main finale song.

If they can't come up with an orignal upbeat song in time for the single, I'd go with another cover like Think, This is It, or I've got the Music in Me.

I'm weird. I like the alliteration of "Dreams" by Diana DeGarmo even though I don't like the song. (smile) I also predicted Diana would win, because the winners have had five-letter names, but Fantasia broke the mold. Odd little me.

I personally think it's the third letter of the first name being a consonant
    theory.

Diana was just interviewed on CNN headline news.

They didn'y talk about anything new but she seemed pretty happy.

    Your theory intrigues me.
Finally a reason for Clay's loss.

Her album dropped to number 14 on the amazon charts while Fantasia is at 4. Here is her album cover, a little different from what I have seen others post.

And I thought I was the only one that still said album.

It's offical now. Diana is on the roster of RCA Artists:

There's an article about her and her signing with RCA records in the AJC but you have to register to read it, otherwise I'd post it.

There is a great article (posted today on the billboard site) regarding Diana's recording of Don't Cry Out Loud.

They put her in the studio with Melissa Manchester (who had the original hit with it in 1979) and Diana was coached on how to think through the song, etc. Since RCA owns the original master tapes from the original song, they had Diana lay her vocal track on those masters. That should be good news since that was a high quality production the first time out (No tinny AI $100 keyboard sounding garbage like some of the songs on the AI discs). They are calling it a "Dreams / DCOL" double-A side, which means maybe both songs wil be released to radio? (I could see the brain dead Dreams song on Pop and the DOLC on AC stations...)
