OK, so Simon remains honest and gives his take respectfully sticking to the execution of the song, Paula stops gushing and gives constructive criticism, Randy speaks proper English. What kind of show would we have?

I adore Simon and his outrageous comments, rude observations and abrasive manner! It is part of the show. This is just a TV show. Who wins is secondary. They are in the entertainment business. Simon is the star of this show just as Sara Jessica Parker was the star of Sex and the City.

They only change needed lies in the wardrobe dept. Simon and Paula need a stylist.

Simon may be honest to the point of rudeness in his comments to the contestants, but do you notice that it is ALWAYS his comments that the contestants wait for to see whether they have done truly well or not. On the final night of competition, after the "Do I make you proud?" song, Taylor waited with his head cocked to one side and breath held for Simon's pronouncement, despite the fact that Paula and Randy had rained compliments on him. SIMONS OPINION IS THE ONE THAT COUNTS.

Also, although he is rude sometimes to contestants, Paula is consistently rude to him - shouting over him, interrupting, etc. He is usually pretty restrained with her when she gets physical with him.

I think Simon is a very nice man with a sense of humor. Paula and Randy do love to egg him on. Paula can be annoying sometimes.

    AAAAAAH!!!!! That is so creepy.

Simon is the favorite judge for a reason. Sometimes he repeats himself (that was horrendous), but he's usually on the mark. Paula is there to give the contestants confidence, she never has a nasty remark. Randy is there, well, I'm not sure why Randy is there. He's there because he can vamp up the tour like he's going to do for Mariah Carey. He's there to keep white America in touch with the hip-hop scene. Okay, not really. I'm just trying to think of a good reason for Randy. Simon is there to give us his honest opinion, even if we don't agree with him. I don't like how he's constantly touching Paula, it's distracting even for me. But then again, I might be trying to see what the once-hunky Emilio Estevez saw in her, too.

    Simon the dog

July 28, 2006 -- "AMERICAN Idol" judge Simon Cowell is no idol to his girlfriend of four years, Terri Seymour. The acid-tongued star has been caught cheating on Seymour, 32, with ravishing bisexual model Jasmine Lennard.
A photographer for Britain's Daily Mirror spotted Lennard entering Cowell's London townhouse late Tuesday and must have peeked through a window. The paper reports that within minutes she was peeling off her fur coat to reveal racy black lingerie.

The pair relaxed on a sofa for 90 minutes before heading up to a bedroom to usher in her 21st birthday. She was photographed leaving an hour later, with Cowell standing in the doorway sporting a huge grin.

The affair has been going on six months, says The Mirror, which quoted a pal of Lennard: "[Simon and Jasmine] tend to spend most of their time together in Simon's house [in London] when Terri is at their other home in Los Angeles."

Lennard - whose mother, Marilyn, was one of Roger Moore's James Bond girls in "The Spy Who Loved Me," and whose dad, Brian, is founder of Sacha Shoes - has a bit of a past: She once checked into the Priory rehab clinic alongside Kate Moss to kick a cocaine habit. She also made a splash on the show "Make Me a Supermodel" by famously falling out with Rod Stewart's ex, Rachel Hunter, labeling her "a fat bitch past her sell-by date."

In an interview that she gave last year, Lennard said that, while she liked men best, "being with a woman is a totally different sexual experience. They're soft, with curves, boobs and sensual lips. Men are hairy with bits dangling out all over the place."

Cowell has admitted to being a ladies' man, but insists he only looks and doesn't touch when he's seriously involved with a woman.

"I am a bit of a flirt, but I'm pretty good. My eyes do wander, and daily. It's what you do with those eyes that counts," he said in a 2004 interview.

That doesn't wash with one of his former gal pals, the pop star Sinitta, who has fumed that Cowell is unable to be faithful. He first met Lennard in a restaurant last January and sent her a flirty note saying he wanted to get to know her.

A Fox flack had no comment last night. But Cowell's spokesman insisted to the British press, "Simon has known Jasmine for some time. They had a meeting to discuss TV projects."

    Ooops!

Discussing TV projects, in your underwear, with someone who is in a relationship is probably a no no, right?

Isn't The Mirror well know in England for fabricating, exaggerating stories.
