It's hard for me to reconcile that 30m PA albums have been sold.
    Mind boggling.

I saw a commercial that made it look like maybe she wasn't Miss Mary Sunshine this season...I hope it is true.

    I saw that too dagwood.
    Paula gets an edge!!
I'd love for that to be the case.
I also saw one where a contestant called the judges "puppies" (?!!), Simon said "well woof woof, now get out".

I noticed that she does get a little meaner at the initial auditions, but then once they get into the live shows, she goes back to her usual sugar-sweet persona. Everyone says shes too nice, but I wouldn't want her to turn mean this season. It's just who she is. It's like if Simon turned super nice, everyone would be a little confused and shocked. Same if Paula turned mean.

Well, I don't think she should be mean just for the sake of being mean. Some well rounded advise would be nice, though, and no more strange comments. Last season, I had no idea what she was talking about half the time. (Church of Ruben? Okay, Paula.)

That being said, she really does seem like a nice person.

I agree with you Cryssa. I don't believe any of the judges should be mean for the sake of being mean *cough* Simon. I truly believe in constructive criticism, and I think it would be nice to see one of these judges actually apply it this season.

As a performer herself, Paula should have been in the best position to offer constructive criticism. However, she instead failed the contestants by her fluffy praise (imo). She wouldn't have had to say anything nasty to be constructive. Gladys Knight was able to offer suggestions to the kids on American Juniors without being mean in the least.

You could always tell she didn't like someone's singing when she complemented their look.

I still think she's adorable though. And her music was so typically 80's. I understand why people bought them!
