Where Does The Group Look To Promote?

Since we know that at least 40% of this group is going to be aimed at a very young audience, isn't it going to be hard to promote the group?

Yes, there's Nickelodeon - but if you promote there you only hit with kids; and you're really just a 'flavor of the week'.

I don't see MTV or FUSE heavily promoting a group of 10 year old kids.

The ratings of the show don't indicate a HUGE following.

ET has given it half-assed coverage, and I don't see too many ET viewers rushing to pick up the album.

So, does anyone know what they can do?

Nickelodeon, MTV and Entertainment Tonight are all Viacom, which is a Fox rival. I'd say American Juniors would have a showcase on Fox Family.

fox family doesnt seem like too great of a place to advertise something to be as big as they say the Juniors group will be....

    What about Disney?

Does Fox Family even exist anymore?

And, yes, 40% of the group will be the Thompsons, so there you have a child audience.

Just because the Thompson's are children doesn't mean that their audience will be children. The songs that Tori and Taylor have performed so far have definitely NOT been kid's songs. And the rest of the group has yet to be formed. Michael Jackson fronted the Jackson Five at a young age, but their audience was not just kids. It will all depend on what kind of music they perform.

Isn't a pop music group? Meaning: Kids ages 7-15(a rough estimate)

Heh. After walking over to the TV and actually looking, I see it's now ABC Family. Everything for kids seems to be either Disney or Viacom. And, you're right, they don't have much of a promo platform, unless they suddenly give the Fx channel a makeover.

I always assumed that they were going to promote the group on the next installment of AI or AJ or whatever...That's what they seem to be doing now...
