If Marc is the CI version of Julia DeMato, Tyler is the CI version of Carmen. Shame on you Canada for voting for him!

I live in London and yesterday at work, I received a fax encouraging people to vote for him. An organization his father's company belongs to sent it out and my company belongs to the same organization, so it's not exactly soliciting.

I was going to send a couple votes his way, depending on how well he sang tonight, but that sucks.

I hate these grassroots efforts. I will vote for whomever I prefer... even if it's not someone from my province.

I guess I can understand a desire to have one of the local kids make it big... but I definitely wouldn't vote soley on that. For group one, I ended up voting for Billy who's from the my city's rival. Once you're at a person's concert you're not really going to care where they came from.

Exactly. I guess I just found it annoying that they would bother trying to get votes from people that may or may not watch the show.

If I were a contestant, I'd much prefer getting the votes because I earned them. Are his parents going to run out and sell his concert tickets for him too?

I'm sure she does, just as tons of other contestants do. I just hate those that canvass the community for votes. It's not a freaking fundraiser. Just my opinion, as always.
