It's difficult not to be affected by his story and his story is one that would have begged to be told just by the fact that he does have such a severe stutter. His story breaks my heart. He is good but I do think knowing his story does makes him seem better. My fear is, depending on how far he makes it, when he has to work with others to bring something to the stage the other contestants will be far less than understanding and compassionate. I know it's a cutthroat business, but that isn't what I'm talking about. I am speaking of the common decency that all of us should possess within our beings. You can be cutthroat in business w/o being mean, but too often this process brings out the worst in people. His stuttering has really served to keep him very cut off from others it would seem. I just hope this process does more good than harm.
Johnny Kaiser is back and I love Kas Bah - the fire performer. Not quite done here, but, boy, there have been a lot of tears in Chicago along with a constant cat fight at the judging table.
Parent's stop lying to your children. Tell them when they are talent-less hacks before american Idol makes a fool of them,lol.
I am not shocked his stuttering goes away when singing? Mel tillis anyone? Am I the only one old enough to remember ?
I remember and Lazaro has a lovely voice. Chicago was more encouraging than New York, but it looks like the cat fight goes viral next Wed in Charlotte.
Stuttering boy isn't really that great but he's better than that travesty of blind guy that they put through one season. The blind guy got through due to sympathy votes but he was very average. I still don't think stuttering boy will get through if it's all based on talent, otherwise he'll make it because, let's be real, the judges have an affinity for afflicted contestants.
Guy with one leg didn't make it and I agree. He was quite average. Nothing special. Fire girl is quite quirky but with only 20 in the finals I doubt she'll get in. Anorexic girl will be gone by Hollywood round. Johnny Keyser is back and hopefully he doesn't crash and burn in Las Vegas again. How about that black kid that sounded like a young Michael Jackson? Is he back?
