If you don't understand I think you'd need to look no further than the connection between Mariah & Randy Jackson. Look for Randy to step away from judging & move more into mentoring. Just my prediction.

Yep, they confirmed Randy moving to a mentor role on GMA this morning. Miley Cyrus and Adam Lambert were mentioned as rumored judges. Yes, Randy & Mariah are connected, so maybe he knows better how she'll function at the judges table. I hope to be pleasantly suprised.

I will say that I did like when Mariah was a mentor on Season 7. Or rather I loved David Cook's version of Always Be My Baby. But to watch her week in, week out. No. She'll be Jennifer 2.0 and not want to offend her fan base, if she has to critique a fave/front runner.

I'd watch Adam or Brad Paisley. I heard things about Toby Keith, but he's turned it down already. Boo.

I hated Jimmy Iovine the first year and thought he was better last year. I still feel like some of his critiques do have some sort of influence on the voters though. He makes predictions like Howard Stern on AGT.

They have to find someone who won't give a flying fig about offending their fans if they are offering an honest critique. Oh Hell, maybe Charlie Sheen and Ted Nugent wouldn't be so bad. Lolololol
