I think a part of him has resigned himself to losing. You heard the 132 million votes. Idol numbers are down 25% so something isn't adding up. My guess is at least 1/3 of those is from out of the country. A Jessica win will always be tainted in my mind, but I think Phillip may have resigned himself to it. BTW I liked the Fogerty/P2 duet. I think Fogerty still sounds very similar to how he did in the 60's. I didn't see him as washed up at all.

Joshua should have won this thing. I just can't get behind Jessica. Sweet girl, but soulless performances. Give me warbly PP any day - next to Joshua.

Joshua sounded 10x better than Fantasia.

Mute buttons were made for that. Now, if I can just coax my poor cat out from under the couch. All that shrieking scared him.

I can see Fantasia hasn't improved at all. Josh would have been better alone. He's great. Her not so much. My least favorite Idol winner of all time. Even if Jessica wins, she'll still be second to Fantasia as most hated for me.

Yeah, I got all excited about Joshua singing Take Me to the Pilot (remember when George Huff did it?), but then some weirdly dressed black Cher (Fantasia, who sounded awful) came out and ruined it.

OMG, Fantasia looked horrible! That outfit was awful, and the long Cousin It hair did not flatter her in the least.

I wished it had just been Joshua up there singing, she ruined that performance big time.

I'm on the opposite side of the fence. I think Phillip will win. And while he is entertaining, his voice is very limited. He and Lee might be tied with least vocal potential and I liked Lee a lot.

I do think that Phillip thinks Jessica will win. But I doubt it.

ETA: Doctors told Phillip he needed surgery a few weeks back, so performing can't have been fun for him all this time.

Fantasia remains one of my all time fav's. I know I'm in the minority :(

Joshua is right up there - and for the same reasons. Beyond perfect performers AND unique and strong performers. Kelly C. is next.
