I mean, I called this earlier on. Post in his thread is proof. This was about as obvious as clapping and thinking it will make a sound.

Congrats Phillip!!!
I loved how he broke down during his song - that was such an emotional moment with the band and the chorus - it sounded angelic and other-worldly. I'm so happy for him, and hope he gets well soon. Jessica did a great job too, and I think will do just fine coming in second.
As far as the show itself, I thought it was cool that Aerosmith played! JLo I could've done without seeing her sing and dance again. Some of the other "stars" they parade out there are just ho-hum. Fantasia looked awful. I liked her when she was on, but something's gone wrong there. I missed or skipped much of the rest, because it was just not that enticing.
How many of the last five runner-ups were better than those that ended up winning? Adam I can say is a definite.

I, for one, am thrilled that Phillip won! Finally, maybe we'll have an American Idol who will put out a song that doesn't sound like everyone else on the radio (Kelly and Carrie excepted). He's a complete original!
For me, it's not about who the best singer is. It's about finding a unique voice. I'd much rather listen to a voice like Sting than one like Mariah Carey.
Phillip's CD may be the first one I buy of any AI winner since Kelly!
Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.' - Isaac Asimov
I was thinking of the immortal words of Socrates, who said, "... I drank what?"
So true about Adam! It seems like that is the season when things started going that way. The thing that ticked me off the most about the other guy winning (was it Kris) was that all of my conservative Christian friends were touting that as a "win for American values". Give me a freaking break!
