Every city that has a contestant has some sort of vote getting drive they do for their citizen. I mean Kris Allen had a whole stadium full of phones voting booths supplied by AT&T.

Makes you wonder if the other person in the B2 (either P2 or Hollie) actually in the real B2, or if they just are doing this for affect?

Ryan did not say this is your bottom 2. He said "the first, second, last person moving on." At this point I don't think they ever give an official bottom 2 because it might give unfair advantage to someone with the normal B2 rebound. As best I can remember, they also usually have all 4 up there at once at this point.

I think P2 was up there because he was the weakest last night of the final 3. I refuse to call him as the winner though since doing so on The Voice jinxed Tony Lucca.

Philip is my favorite with Joshua being a close second. My iPod is loaded with the type of music Philip sings. And I'm not a screamy fan girl voting because he's cute.....I'll be 40 next year. Did I say 40? I meant 29.....again.

I read somewhere that people in the Phillipines are voting for Jessica, I'm not sure if that is true though. I didn't think that people outside of the US could vote?

I read somewhere that they figured out how to vote for Jessica using Skype. That is so wrong. If that's the case, then it's not AMERICAN Idol anymore. BTW, I'm in Hawaii also, so I'm seeing the results here instead of having to watch the show. Haven't been too into AI since my fave Colton left.

this whole skype thing has been going on since the whole Kris Allen/Adam season. Nothing new. If Idol cared they would attempt to do something about it.

His handsome face, growly voice, and sexy, masculine singing style just may land him the title (especially since most of the viewers and voters are female).

Yes. Not only is this show being ruined as a result, but the same goes with other talent shows out there.

After all, this is not a competition to find the best vocalist. It's a popularity contest.

If it's popularity ... I can't figure out with whom Jessica is most popular.

She was eliminated once already. Is it because she is from California ... does it have something to do with population or time zones?

I am very, very sad that Hollie is gone, and I will be satisfied (sort of) with either a WGWG or a BGWOG .

As someone in California, I can say I don't think it's that. People in CA probably vote less than anyone else. I don't even know a lot of people who watch the show. We spend more time outside enjoying the glorious weather (unless of course one lives in the desert).

Plus, she's from the San Diego area. Most of the rest of the state could really care less. And the SD station isn't pimping her the way contestants from small towns tend to do. There's a reason why most idols have come from the South. Southern people get behind their own and vote. Jordin Sparks was the first Idol not to come from the South (yes Oklahoma is not technically the South in the historic sense, but their values are very southern).

Look at the history: Kelly Clarkson (Texas), Ruben Studdard (Alabama), Fantasia (NC), Carrie (OK), Taylor (Alabama), Kris Allen (Arkansas), and Scotty McCreary (North Carolina). That's 70% of winners from the South. That bodes well for P2. The most successful contestants from CA have been Katherine McPhee and Adam Lambert. Both had broad appeal outside of CA. We may have a lot of people, but we tend to care less about TV than say someone in Georgia.

It should also be known that here in San Diego area there are ads and billboards asking to vote for Jessica. One of the local casinos even has one.

I haven't seen those. But then again I didn't really venture beyond downtown the last time I was there. But still do you think the average San Diegan cares if she's from there?

Most of you have probably noticed that Phillipp has not been a part of the Ford commercials. It has previously been reported that it was because of health reasons. Well, it has now been leaked that as soon as the season finishes he will be going in for surgery & will "hopefully" be fully recovered in time for the tour.

If he is suffering with kidney stones it's pretty amazing that he's been able to get through practicing and performing each week. I too I've read that he is scheduled for surgery as soon as the season is done. Surgery would indicate that he's got a pretty severe case or stones too large to blast with lithotripsy. Must be in a lot of pain.
