I missed Phillip's performance last night because our power went out. Whooee, he was terrible. And I usually like him pretty well. I'm glad Elise wasn't booted yet, but Hollie can go any time, the sooner the better, IMO.

Bye, DeAndre - he has nothing to be ashamed of, he did a good job and showed America what he had. It just wasn't enough, apparently, to keep him around compared to the others in the competition. This is a good group of singers, and I'm liking this season a lot. Even the judges are getting a little more critical - not a LOT, but a little, and I like that. Like Jimmy said about Phillip, it's hard to push yourself if you're always being told how great you are. I didn't like Phil's comment about how he's not going to go touch hands in the crowd or whatever; while I understand it may not be in his comfort zone, sometimes you've got to try to do things you don't want to do (like wear a color other than gray). He's got to be careful to not come off cocky or ungrateful. I like his voice, even though this week was just okay, and hope he sticks around.

The Pickler sounds much better now than during her time on Idol.

And she's picked up a few IQ points along the way. I've always thought her dumb routine on Idol was just that, a faked routine.

Deandre was the right one to go home. I had Skylar, Elise, and Hollie in the bottom three. I thought the fan girls would have kept Deandre safe. Guess they are too busy voting for Colton and Phillip. They let one slip away.

I am enjoying Jimmy's comments. I don't always agree with them but I do enjoy hearing his take on things.

I didn't like it either. I actually tipped my head to the side and said "Huh?" I thought it was a bit of a DB moment and he needs to watch that. He will rapidly fall out of favor if he keeps making comments like that. Especially when you have the others crying and being so grateful because Idol has given them a reason to live! *eye rolls*
