I just saw the news on TV a little bit ago. It is a shame because while his style of singing is not my cup of tea, he did have a really good tone to his voice. That said--
It's stupid to lie about prior arrests/legal trouble because, as seen before, mostly the people get found out and sometimes kicked off (ala Corey). Why TPTB don't seem to run extensive nationwide background checks on their own way before, say, Hollywood Week is another point of stupidity, to boot.
Lying is wrong, and in this case, really stupid. But it's an entirely different level of stupidity to go on essentially the most watched TV show currently on air in the country when you have, according to TMZ, warrants out for your arrest. Seriously? Maybe he should have listened to the oldie but goody Bobby Fuller Four classic "I Fought the Law and the Law Won", provided that part of TMZ's story is true. Sheesh.
I can seriously do without seeing the "confrontation" producers had with him. Just have Ryan explain what happened, and be done with it. Will be interesting to see though how they work elimination this week.
