I am cracking up over the idea of DeAndre singing Loving You by Minnie Riperton! (Anybody too young to know this song from the 70s, Google it.)

I like DeAndre and hope he can be coached to use the falsetto as the seasoning, not the main course.

Good one! He does have that Milli Vanilli flair. I was surprised he didn't do better on the audience voting. I expected him to take the teen and pre-teen girl vote.

I'm not sure they have the controlling demographic anymore. Who, on a school night, lets their pre-teen stay up until midnight voting? I think teens are too cool for AI these days.

LoL - even though they lip synced - I loved those tunes back in the day!

I was actually pleased with his performance last night--breathed a sigh of relief, actually. From his previous performances, I was a little concerned that falsetto was all he had to offer. But he proved last night that he has a little more "guts" to voice rather than just coming out and sounding like Smokey Robinson every week.

Nothing wrong with sounding like Smokey Robinson. I, too, hope that he sings more in full voice rather than falsetto. I am right there with you on Milli Vanilli!

Deandre had fun out there last night. Hopefully he can last long enough to put him on the map, but we know how AI loves baladeers ... and then we never hear from them again. At least Deandre has the potential to go far, only time will tell.
