DeAndre's singing on Jay Leno's show tonight w/the band - going in and out of commercial breaks I think. He sounded pretty good when I just heard a bit of him now! When Jay talked to him, he said his style isn't as popular anymore but he's going to keep on trying - Jay said he thinks it's a matter of people assuming he was safe and didn't call for him because of that. He was surprised DeAndre was in the bottom, and mentioned JLo trying to save him.

I'm enjoying him much more tonight on this show than I ever did on Idol! The Tonight Show should keep him.

Aww...too bad he's gone. But he's got a lot going for him, hopefully he'll do well on his own.

I am one of the few (on this board, at least) who loved DeAndre's voice and was cheering him on and voting for him each week. I will miss him. Perhaps it's true that he might have lasted longer in the competition if he'd waited a few years and learned to make better use of that voice.

He looked good as well.After you posted I watched online. I think he has a good career ahead of him

I liked him when he sang in the lower register, I'm not a fan of falsetto in general and whole songs in falsetto were just too much. Or even switching around as he did sometimes. I wish him well.
