There's no way they'll leave it at singling out just two people so I'm going to assume that they do pairs. If I'm wrong and they DO only single two out, then the "Guy Safe" and "Girl Safe" guesses will not be considered.

For each name that is in the bottom that you've correctly guessed, you'll get five points. In addition, if you correctly identify the person going home, you'll get 3 bonus points, for a maximum of 23 (13 if they don't do the sexes in pairs first).

If something else happens, we'll work with it as we go. Let's hope they get off this crazy train and go back to the regular format soon!

Forgive my muddled mind, but I am presuming by the way folks are guessing, we are predicting the bottom 4 ( 2 guys 2 girls) or the last 4 left waiting after 9 others have been deemed safe ... and then for the bonus ... the one the judges choose to leave. Also, there is no ranking or order of safety involved here. Am I understanding it correctly ?

My first time trying this game from the start ... so again sorry.

I know that jsciv is super busy this week so ... thanks in advance to anyone who can verify for me.

Hint to all those who haven't guessed yet, the "bottom 2" might not be the bottom two vote getters. In typical AI fashion, it could just be the low vote getter plus someone for drama. But I'll go against my own advice and just pick who I think will be the bottom 4.

I thought about that too ... actually the last 4 standing might not be the actual bottom 4 vote getters. I think they have to tell us who the bottom 2 are if they are going to make them sing for their lives, but they might try for the drama and suspense by having someone unexpected, or kind of on the fence as one of the last 4 standing.

I also recall many times when the outcome was unexpected that Ryan started off by saying "America what have you done" ?

It wouldn't surprise me if American Idol created some sort of shocking result just to get people watching until the end of the show. However, I picked what I consider to be the likely four as it's hard to predict who they might be willing to sacrifice as a shock.
