Yes, when I inherited the game I kept the scoring structure the same. So it's more important to guess who is in the bottom than it is to guess the specific places. This makes the game a little more interesting in the middle weeks when you can often have a well-reasoned guess for who will get fewer votes without penalizing you too much if you switch the order. There's always been the "producers mess with the results" caveat to watch out for too, sometimes they just toss a landmine at you by not actually singling out the true bottom and you have to suss that out going in (which adds a bit of spice to the game).

I'm overall happy with the scoring structure. If people want to discuss tweaks to it, please do feel free to drop me a PM!

    And good luck this week!

Well, not bad. Still in 2nd place. Congratulations, kenny2604! I have not guessed well the last two weeks. I let my love of Joshua get in the way. I should have seen the parallels to the Jordin-Blake-Melinda year (Season 6). That year I couldn't believe my beloved Melinda could go home third to a big-voiced teenager and not-a-great-singer-but-different- and-current guy...

At least I have a 50/50 chance of getting it right this week. Thanks, jsciv, for all the stats work. Fun game!

I'm glad somebody takes this on - it is sooo much fun to see how everyone guesses. My only thought is somehow there should be more points for guessing who goes home. The person winning never gets it right who is going home....but does always have the bottom two right.....I'm thrilled we will all have the bottom two right this week....finally....a no brainer. We should all get some points this week....hahaha......

Seems like taking the lead early was a curse for me. I fell off the bus! My guesses have stunk since the week Jessica was voted off and saved.

I'm just going to go ahead and make my guesses for this week. I don't think it will matter how well either performs. Heck, if Phillip were to become too ill to perform, I don't think anyone else would have a shot.

    Winner: Phillip

I knew that, I was just having some fun too. I thought it was very funny and I almost didn't catch it on first read ... so you can claim a gotcha. '
