I don't like country either, but I can enjoy Mr. McGraw.

Oh cripes... I am sitting this finale out and now I come here to find out that Haley is singing a duet with Tony Freaking Bennett! What a thrill for her. I absolutely adore him. My parents played his records and Sinatra's all the time. The man is considered a legend for good reason. I read somewhere that Sinatra once said that Bennett had the best vocal chops around. In 2006, when he was 80 years old he released Duets: An American Classic. He sounds amazing! He sings with Streisand, Wonder, Bono, McCartney, Billy Joel, Tim McGraw, K.D. Lang, Buble, JTaylor, and many others. It is a fantastic CD! I love Haley and am so, so happy for her that she got the opportunity of a lifetime to sing with the wonderful Tony Bennett.

Tim McGraw is a class act!

It looked less like passing the torch to me and more like giving Scotty props since it is his and Lauren's night really. That's why I think he is a class act.

When you grow up. Tim didn't hold the notes nearly as long as he normally does to not upstage Scotty. I agree there is a difference in their abilities, but I do think Scotty has the opportunity to grow into the singer that Tim McGraw is. While I didn't quite see the torch being passed, I saw the embers glowing and the sparks beginning to light.
