What was her "honest moment"? That she forgot the words? I don't get what happened there when she just didn't sing for a measure. And it still sounds like she's wearing her clothes too tight and can't catch a full breath. And speaking of clothes - that get-up was just as weird as the first one. Who's dressing her? Is there a panel of wardrobe options and somebody throwing darts?

Haven't we seen interesting clothing choices throughout the years. I recall diaper pants, shortest skirts ever..... ugly jackets....

I got a little scared for her when she was squatting down to sit on the steps. I don't know if I would be able to wear something that short when I'm standing above people. Doesn't Carrie Underwood wear shorts under her skimpier clothes?

My impression is that with the ages skewing so young this season, the judges are not as willing to be hard on these younger performers as I think they should be.

Lauren Alaina--I don't know that song, but is the original cover so "upbeat"? I thought she was pretty happy sounding when she sang about dying young, mother burying her baby, etc. The song seems like the type of thing that could have been very effective if it had started out more slowly and thoughtfully, maybe A Capella.
