sitting here with my dear husband, he didn't watch much this season. Says it should be James and Haley in final 2. I tend to agree with him after watching the entire season myself.
Night all, it will be interesting watching who goes home tomorrow night.
it's really perennialprincess, there just wasn't enough space to fit it all in!
Even though I didn't like her first song, I wouldn't mind seeing Haley advance. She has been very good overall the past few weeks.
Toss up between her and Lauren going home.
Guess I'm going to have to cue up the DVR again for tomorrow night.
Maggie: "While she takes care of the men with the guns, why don't you sit down and I'll make you a nice, hot cup of tea?"
Pan Am stewardesses: prepared for anything!
Can someone please post the phone numbers again?
Back in season #1, the runner-up was unable to drop their solo album until significantly after the winner...the winner that year had to have significant time of vocal rest before beginning her album because of mis-use of her voice during both the contest and the tour.
After listening to both Haley and Lauren belting/screaming/creating vocal nodes, I am certain that the others are thankful that the same rules no longer apply!
I'd love and am hoping to see a Haley and Scotty finale.

The recap at the end of the show absolutely shows the difference in Haley's first and second songs. I realize they use rehearsal footage for these recaps, right? Still, in the first clip, it was all growls and then in her second, all of her pretty vocals! I could listen to her second song over and over, but would never listen to that first one ever again.
And seeing Lauren again, I liked her singing in the first clip better than the second in the recap!! Hmmmm....
I agree. At first I was worried, because Jordin Sparks did a great job with this song in Season 6 (?), but I liked Haley's even better. It always felt weird to me to hear a really young girl like Jordin (17 at the time) sing those lyrics. Haley as a grown woman was much more believable.
ETA: Haley will be 21 in September -- I just looked it up. I thought she was a little older than that.
