Country supports its own. The two AI winners were welcomed onto the stage of the GOO very early on with nobody screaming that they had to earn the right to appear there. I think Faith Hill was the one who hurt herself by protesting Carries emergence onto the awards scene so quickly after her win.
Scotty also starts his tour as opening act for Brad Paisley this week.

Let's see...he wants to pitch on his high school Varsity team this spring and graduate high school, plus he is applying for colleges. Does he ever sleep or even take a deep breath. There is also a second album that needs to be started...Whew!
I read somewhere that his mother is adament that he pursue a normal life to some degree , hence the college applications
Scotty seems to be much more proficient selling albums(platinum) & singles(2 platinum), than garnering success on radio. He is set to perform his 3rd single on Idol this week & neither of his first 2 have broken into the Top 10. So, it's a good news bad news type of thing. I really hope his next one is upbeat. His first 2 have been kind of dreary, IMO!
