James Durbin Season 10

I like the kid so much more as he has progressed though the competition. That being said, I am very glad that they got him to get rid of the R&R stereotype headband because the kid is channeling the old hard rock stars. The over the top antics last week were also a bit much. Unlike many, many of the rockers, this kid can sing, so I hope they continue to remake him into something that is James and not a rehash of the old time R&Rers.

I love that James is a rocker! (My music tendancies usually lean more towards this) But.. with that being said, I'm looking forward to the softer side of rock from James now. Most rock bands biggest hits seem to come from the slower, softer and more intimate songs.

I like James's personality and he had a great voice, but whenever he performs, I feel like I'm watching a rock musical on Broadway, not a real, earthy rock performance.

I like James, but didn't some other Idol contestant perform that song in a previous season? Was it Adam or David Cook? The reason I ask is I don't he performed it as well as it could have been sung. JMO

I really loved James last night. In fact I perfer that performance over his high action ones. He has a great normal voice when singing. I like this guy. I find him interesting and love that he thinks outside the box.

I read a review of the studio versions of last night’s songs. James got the highest marks (with Haley coming in 2nd). The reviewer said the longer version gave him time to build, and that it was “SPECTACULAR.” I can’t wait to hear it.

Amazing performance, and the studio version is incredible. I have to hand it to James - he should definitely be in the Final 2.

And what was with those two yo-hos yesterday??? Jimmy and the other one? It was like watching 2 bulls in a china shop. The way I understood it, James didn't follow their advice (which I would give him credit for).
