Tonight’s the night we find out who America has picked as their next American Idol. There is plenty of speculation as to who is going to perform. We do know that there will be an awesome group sing, Simon will get his butt kissed numerous times, Randy will throw out a few Yo Dawg's, Ellen will make some remarks that make no sense and Kara will drool over Casey one more time.

Thank you all for your participation this season. We had some good debates and everything was kept very civil. Y’all made my job easy!

Remember not to change your sig lines to congratulate the new winner until the show has aired on the west coast, 1 a.m. Eastern. Now on to the big stage of the Nokia Theatre!

It's an Idol Block Party! Music, comedy, tears... we get to see old friends. Then the results are announced and we bring out the bricks and bats and start the riot, no? Ah... Finale 2009... good times.
