I just realized that it was almost exactly 7 years ago (5/21/03) that I made my first post during the AI-2 finale. Such innocence 25,000 posts ago.

Oh yes, Clay for the win! That was the first season I watched......Those were the days I couldn't get one vote in all night! I got plenty in for Lee last night.

I'm making a vow to not watch the show anymore. I have made the vow for several years, but then something pops up that grabs my attention and then I'm stuck. Last season I was doing fine and then people started talking about Adam. I had to watch and fell for him. He was awesome IMO.

Then this season I had made another vow to stay away. Then I happend to tune in one day and saw them doing the initial auditions. I thought they were great. (Not sure what happened when they got to Hollywood. LOL) Once I saw Casey and Crystal, I had to see how it turned out. But next season, I have to stay away. LOL

Lee's hometown visit brought tears to my eyes. You could tell he was grateful for for all of it, plus he seemed so in awe of it all. Genuine.

Casey had a very classy exit. I have to wonder why we didn't get to hear him sing during his hometown footage.

Very glad to hear Holy Toledo during Crystal's visit. Love that song.

Hey UnkleScott - are you really in Elliston right now? If so, that is so cool! We have been watching the local FOX footage from Elliston. I hope our Ohio girl comes through with the win!

So, let's deal with this. Last night Lee gets the pimp spot (and the lights, fog, choir, orchestra). Tonight Lee gets the last video package with the most emotional edit.

Coincidence?

As the resident conspiracy theorist, I don't believe any part of the broadcasts - other than what comes out of the contestants' mouths, which they can't control - is coincidence.

I'm just trying to decide if the Lee pimpage is because Crystal has been so far ahead of the pack all season that they're attempting to make us believe there's actually still a competition, or if the fact that they can't control what the contestants say has made them leery of Crystal being the winner and hoping to push meek Lee into the spotlight. I don't take anything at face value anymore.

It's being reported that Crystal won the coin toss and goes second next week on the finale.
