5/18 Show Performance *Spoilers*

Simon hit the nail on the head about her performances overall. She knew who she was and stayed true to it throughout. Crystal is a singer/songwriter and has maintained that style throughout the competition.

She still bugs me. I hate how blase she is about this entire show, as if she doesn't care about the show as a competition. She's just here to show how cool she is.

That was her only performance I didn't care for.... I didn't like the arrangement.

And it feels soooo rushed with the song time cut so short. It finally hit me it's so they have time to show the hometown visits. But given how important tonight it, and how often they've dragged out this show, why not make it an hour and a half tonight??

Lee Dewyze - Simple Man

Lee says he is a changed man. Let's see. Gotta say, i am not that much of a fan of Lee, but that was exactly what he needed to deliver. He is indeed not the same man he was at the beginning of this competition. His growth in confidence is amazing. He still has the occasional pitch issue, though.

Randy: Somebody here could win this!
Ellen: You began the competition as a little lamb, but now you're a gazelle.
Kara: Round one goes to Lee.
Simon: That song choice was absolutely on the money. I think you just crushed the other two.

Okay the show has been totally boring but my daughter, hysterical! "Hurry up and sing Lee so I can hate you!" Guess she isn't his niche.

I have a feeling that most of Lee's fanbase don't know this song, either. *sigh* I do, and I love it, but are the judges going to call him on it?
