Yeah, I love Ellen, but am not enjoying her as a judge. Her humor seems so forced. At the risk of sounding shallow, her lighting and makeup people on her own show make her look really good (a la Oprah), but she looks older and painted on Idol.

I love Ellen, but I'd love to see her replaced by either Whitney Houston or Mariah Carey.

Frankly, I think Casey deserves the praise he's had. My daughter was home from college last week and watched for the first time all season. She immediately said, "there are only 2 people on there with any star quality - the cute blond guy and the girl with the dreads." I agree.

This is on the whole cool. He needs to drop the guitar to show he can, though (Crystal, too).

And USE the damn stage!

He sings well, but its like he's chained to the mike stand.

It makes his performance three times more boring than it would otherwise be, with the SAME singing quality.

Unfortunately, Whitney is too drug addled to be on a show like this, but Mariah could be great.
