Considering the men are kind of poor this season, Lee isn't doing too bad. And Simon's improvement comment is a good one.

Fox decided to cut off the weather man and switch to Idol just after it started.

I just texted a friend recently and told how I can't stand that stupid digitized song! Like Lee's version MUCH better. Yeah, he's a little pitchy, but I like him. Based on what I saw for song choices, it should at least be interesting tonight, even if the performances aren't great.

Alex lambert sings Trouble.

And Alex steps it up another notch. The voice gets better and better every week. Get this guy in a recording studio! The problem is the performance. At least he's not shaking with nerves; but now he's so calm that he's falling asleep.

Randy: Good song choice.
Ellen: Better every week. Love the vulnerability - don't lose that.
Kara: Still stiff, but ...
Simon: Stop staring down the camera but let yourself go. Yadda yadda (something about Randy in a bikini.)

Alex -- Why is this lame little child still on this show? No wait. How did this lame little child even GET on the show in the first place?

Why are people clapping? What are they hearing I'm not? That SUCKED.

What the hell are these judges talking about? That's almost as bad as the clapping.
