When did Idol go from trying to find the best singer to find the best composer? Not everyone is going to be able to change up a song. Hell, I am happy when they just don't plain butcher the singing to start with. But you can tell from the look on Lacey's face when Simon was talking that she has no clue on how to change up a song.

The girl is darn cute, and I agree with Kara. Her voice has a great tone to it. And I agree with Simon. She needs to be an artist not just a mimic. Hopefully she finds her way - and a way - to showcase her voice.

She gets the deluxe sound treatment. She's OK. Why are these imature singers going on a national singing competition when they have 14 years to audition? She's good, but only half-baked.
