She kind of looks like Kate Winslet.

Only in Lil's case, she could really sing. She just never listened to their advice and couldn't make a decent song choice the whole season.Originally Posted by TopCatDC;3837619;

The worst part of Jannell wasn't so much the bad notes as much as it was the total blnding of that kick ass song. It was like she smeared it in mayonaise before she sang it.
Ok thank you KoalaChick. So, a lot of blame can be placed on the singer if they have like 100 songs to choose from. I wonder how long they get to listen to the song, select it and practice it before they are forced to perform. It'd suck if you look at the list and most of the songs you've never heard of before. So, you choose one you think has eaasy lyrics but totally doesn't match your voice. I'd stay away from legendary songs.
Agreed. What a disappointment...Originally Posted by mom3;3837607;
All right Lilly! I've been waiting for you.
Lily Scott sings Fixing a Hole by the Beatles.
Looks like I was wrong about instruments, 'cause there's Lily with her guitar. She's still got her great style, but she's going off key a bit.
Ellen: Random song choice, but distinctive voice and presence.
Simon: Best we've heard so far. Felt it portrayed you as a artist. Not much star power, though.
Kara: You're believable; busking teaches you how to be comfortable in tough circumstances.
Randy: A real indie artist. Honest.

Lilly Scott: Okay, she lost me with the "whooooo". I smell a poseur.
I suppose it comes down to the singing though...
Fixing A Hole. Filling it with CRAP apparently.
That was this year's "Blackbird". Caw-caw!

Girl knows her strengths, and her limits. Much better song choice on Lily's part.
Lily's a bit nervous, but definately picked a song she could do justice to. Go Lily.
