The most boring audition show that I can remember. It was a struggle to stay awake...actually, I drifted off during the Asian guy's audition. How bad is it when the only real memorable one is a boob-flexer?![]()

Actually I just watched clips of most of the auditions online. She was ridiculous.
I absolutely loved Shania as a judge.
I liked Angela Martin. Glad to see she got a spot.
I thought John Park's vocals were pretty weak. Not sure why they passed him through.
Would have loved to see a Shania performance last night.
She sure seemed to have some fun on the show. Good for her.

Fox should be pleased with last night's ratings. According to MediaWeek, the Chicago show beat last year's third audition show (San Francisco - the first appearance of Adam Lambert and Tatiana Del Toro).
A one-hour edition of American Idol stood well above the competition, with 26.05 million viewers and a 9.9 rating/27 share among adults 18-49 at 8 p.m. Comparably, and completely unprecedented, was growth for Idol over the year-ago telecast (Viewers: 22.77 million; A18-49: 9.0/22 on Jan. 20, 2009) of 3.28 million viewers and 10 percent among adults 18-49. Never in the history of television has a veteran season nine series posted gains this large from the year-ago period.
