On the other hand, don't forget that it's the producers that put people through and they obviously like Bosa - they give him the "half pimp". No home visit, but they brought his whole family in for the call-back and gave them lots of screen time. They are planning on using him.

(Of course Hollywood week is just now finishing up, so nothing is set yet - unlike previous years.)

Lea Laurenti - She sings Blue Skies. Really nice voice. A jazz voice. She could be a major talent; though I don't think a jazz singer has made it through before. She gets four votes to go through to Hollywood.

This is going to be a difficult year after Adam Lambert. I haven't seen anyone with that kind of star power yet.

Katy Stevens - 16 years old and she is getting the full pimp package. Once again, she has to borrow a sob story - her grandmother is frail. She sings a lovely At Last My love Has Come Along. This is a "Carrie Underwood" level voice (although we can't tell that much about the range). They love her.

I thought she was fantastic too...but I am so tired of the stories they try to dredge up to give a contestant an extra boost. In case they don't know, a majority of the "elderly" suffer from some form of dementia...and Alz. (sadly) isn't exactly rare (we are dealing with it in my family). I can stomach the story if, say, you have survived cancer and have a posititive, personal message. But, seriously, a lot of us have sick grandparents and these attempts to sway us with the sob stories are getting a bit old.
