That's unfortunate because I find her to be very generic and dull. It also doesn't help that I really dislike her style of music. I will agree that she is talented but I'm just sick of this type of singer. I just find it boring.

I like her and I think she's one of the most talented this year, voice-wise. Whether she's marketable or not is another story.

So far, Lil is my favorite contestant this season. I don't think she'll win, but she is definitely not going anywhere for a while if I have anything to say about it.

Extremely overrated. Just another generic black female power singer, nothing new, nothing unique. I don't understand the constant praise at all.

Latoya actually had talent though and had 2-3 weeks where she was by far the best singer of her season. I just can't see Lil doing that.

I like Lil....as lots of you said, she is like a lot of powerful Black female singers...but what I really like is that she made herself over for AI. When we saw her during auditions, she was quite matronly looking for a woman of 23...she looked like a dowdy older woman...hair and clothing included

A few months later, when she was in Hollywood, she lost weight and was experimenting with hair styles and color. When we saw her live, she was continuing her change and I credit her for that.
