Progressive House has a wide range.

And I wasn't talking about a whole night of it.
It was about bringing dance music to the stage on what was supposedly "Disco Night".
Nobody would dance to the stuff we heard a few days ago.
As far as dance music, it was pitiful. Somewhere between Karaoke and Broadway.
And most of the contestants are young kids.

There is new music you can dance to, and with melodies that can be recognized. Just not on the Idol stage.
If you would have ever listened to the Essential Selection with Pete Tong, you would know what I'm talking about.

You can take old music and make it sound exciting.
Just like George Michael did with Patrice Rushen's song "Forget Me Nots",
when he mixed it into his song "Fast Love". And that was over ten years ago.
Of course those Idol contestants are not George Michael, still no reason to sound like Bingo Night.

Idol is not just about singing, it's about entertainment, about standing out from the rest of the group. Personal identity?
As far as making people dance, or get them excited, they all did a s--- job.

Wasn't it Randy saying that this is one of the best groups ever?
I beg to differ.
I yearn for the days when Blake got on my nerves with his beat boxing, or Sanjaya's lunacy on stage.
What makes me still watch the show? It's like watching a soap opera, watching what happens with the "characters".
Buying any of their recordings? Yeah, no, I'm good. A week after the finale, I forgot all about those people.

I think Randy served up yet another misjustice to Lil last night when he told her repeatedly that "This is just the beginning" for her. I think after the tour she returns to anonymity much like Nadia, LaToya, Syesha, Sabrina, Stephanie & Vonzell have done. Sorry, but I just don't see anything new & astonishing that she brings to the table that is going to sustain a career for her.

She will not get a contract, period.

Glad she's gone. Never liked her from the beginning, but I'm almost as happy not to have to listen to the judges tell her how CRAPPY she is every week.
