I would be refreshing for Adam to just sing for once and dispense with the theatrics and if it gets him votes, well good for him I guess. But there are still people like me who won't forget all the weird stuff and will never vote for him. Period. You couldn't PAY me to vote for him at this point.

Phrygian Dominant scale - that's the scale he used in Ring of Fire. It's Middle Eastern and difficult for those of us growing up listening to our major/minor scales to accomplish.

Me too. I like him but not his singing style especially when he gets into the screechy parts. I know a lot of people thought ROF was artistic but I just thought it was strange and not even in an interesting way. He has a good voice but his style isn't for everyone and I don't think that can be blamed for being homophobic. Adam being gay doesn't bother me a bit. I don't discriminate with singers, I like who I like.
