I am with Simon on wondering why "Angels" hasn't been a hit in the US yet, so at least for that I liked David A's performance.

Two reasons:

1. Mismanagement of Robbie Williams career in this country. Williams had the misfortune of having his boy band Take That break up at the time of their lone U.S. hit "Back for Good." Williams didn't sing lead on that song.

2. Jessica Simpson's tepid version of "Angels." What a horrible version of that song.

I keep laughing every time someone mentions Jessica Simpson's version because I've managed to completely block her version of it. After she killed Take My Breath Away, I never allowed myself to hear her version of it.

I make it a point to never listen to Jessica Simpson. "Take My Breath Away" cured me of any curiosity I might have had about her.
