Honestly, I think she does better when she sings the Eva Cassidy style of music. When she sang that other song a couple of weeks ago (can't remember what the name of the song was) and sang it Eva Cassidy style, I was very impressed. I think she'd fit nicely in that genre. I think that's more her cup of tea even if she doesn't realize it.

If one cliché kept her safe, she might totally go for it.
It would turn me off.
But I have no idea what "good advice" to give any of the contestants.
Archuleta is just sailing along with his constant cheese.
It's like Bizarro World.
Ah, but the joy of Monday morning quarterbacking is that there's always bad advice to fall back on giving.Originally Posted by Kyle;2894584;
At this point in the season, all advice pretty much comes down to "be better at being who we hope you are, please" or "be someone else, darn it, as you're getting on my nerves" anyway. I'd put Syesha in the latter category, but that's mostly because I haven't a clue who she is, other than the poor man's Whitney.
I see Syesha as a versatile talent in entertainment overall.
The camera loves her, she is current, she can walk and talk in front of a camera, and sing.
There are many jobs in entertainment.
Television and movies, they always need new faces.
It's not all "the big recording career or nothing".
It sounds cheesy but she is already a winner, by getting all the exposure from Idol.
Going on the Idol tour, getting job offers, she should have plenty of opportunities in the coming years.
I don't see any of the guys making a big difference in music.
They're all cheesy to a certain extend.
Thats what I hated about David Cook, carrying an attitude, on Idol. So silly.
For me it's all about the show itself, and....Simon.![]()

I see Screamesha's post Idol opportunities, without a win, to be rather limited. We have seen, season after season, women just like her with the same style, good singers all, that were thought to have great things headed their way. Yet, nothing..nada..Originally Posted by Kyle;2894754;
Case in point Melinda. How many times was it said on this forum how great she was & how great a career she was going to have. We are still waiting for her album, maybe it'll come soon, maybe it won't.
I just don't see Syesha as having anything to set her apart from the pack post Idol.
This girl has gotten very lucky for the last few eliminations, but its almost guareenteed that she will be in the bottom three this nexdt week. I still don't like her voice.
Put me in a special school, 'Cause I am such a fool.
'Troublemaker' from the band Weezer
the difference between melinda and syesha, is that sy is young, thin, and beautiful and yes those things do make a difference. she has more of a star quality even though melinda is the better singer. i can really see her at least getting more acting work if not a record deal because as somebody mentioned there are lots of singers out there that do what she does and do it a lot better. but acting jobs are definitely in her future.

It's easy to be miserable. Being happy is tougher - and cooler.

Thanks for saving me the work of explaining all that.
