I was praying Syesha wouldn't pick this song. It was just too predictable. Ugh! She didn't a bad job of it though. Still...suprise us once in a while.

"You mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling"
I know she held on super long to that note at the end to be extra impressive, but... she's just... meh.
Hated her hair straightened, too.![]()
2003-2008.
This was like her doing Yesterday. She started it slowly and subdued but then she just couldn't contain herself and she started to scream. Is it really so hard to sing at least ONE song simply without any glory notes, without any runs? It just seems that she cannot help herself, it just comes out of her sooner or later no matter how hard she tries.
I'm no fan of Syesha's appearances, but I thought she did a nice job last night. She needs to sing more non-R&B songs and sing like the way she did in the first part of "I Will Always Love You." She needs to avoid R&B riffs like the plague because she can't sing them without sounding cliche.

"Tons of surprises, but it wouldn't be 'American Idol' without it, would it?" Cowell told MTV News. "At the end of the day, I could go out and find 12 great singers, but that's kind of boring. The fact that there's people there who shouldn't be there makes it 'American Idol.' "
I've been saying that for weeks.Originally Posted by pillbeam;2888378;
There was never any doubt in my mind what song she would choose, nor did I doubt that she would find some way to power note her way through it. I'm more than a little over Screamesha.
She's just too predictable, I think probably everyone knew what song she was gonna sing on Dolly-night. She really should do something no one is expecting her to do, now she's just boring wannabe-Whitney.

i kind of want her to go forward. it'd be hilarious if she outlasted carly and brooke, since simon seems to hate her.
It's easy to be miserable. Being happy is tougher - and cooler.
