That's true if they like you.
I don't mind him but isn't this the guy they had clips of on the soup of him singing from years ago and he's been on singing comps for years but makes out he's ameteur? Seems a bit shifty...
The rules don't state that a contestant has to be an amateur. Contestants may not have a current contract, that's all.
Unless you are making a living as a singer you are an amateur. Joining/winning amateur singing contests, singing at weddings, singing on local morning television shows, etc, hardly makes one a professional.![]()
I wonder if he displayed the same aw-chucks demeanor in all the previous competitions he entered? When the camera zoomed to his kinfolks in the audience, you could see the cash-register in their eyes going ka-ching!!
Perhaps that's what you saw, but I saw extremely proud parents who seemed genuinely thrilled for their son.Originally Posted by Fudatskee;2814995;

You're right, he won Star Search 2 (the Arsenio Hall version on CBS) as best Junior Singer back in 2003.Originally Posted by xDC3x;2795440;
Here's the link.
(There's video of the performances. Preliminary 3, SemiFinals 1, Finals)

Is it too much to ask for some reality in reality TV?
Much to my family and friends amazement, I fell asleep during his performance!!
I really like David, but if Lennon bored me to tears with the song, I guess it makes sense I'd head to dream land with David singing it.
A lot of people think he is acting, playing up the innocent thing.
What I'd like to know is what people want him to do?
He is 17.....the judges are falling all over him. The "tweens" are practically fainting over him already.
How do people want him to act? He smiles, he says thank you, he seems a bit overwhelmed.
I am not arguing here. This is an honest question - how should he act so people don't say that about him?
