Very sad. I am sure Eliott is heartbroken - they seemed very close. Yes, it is wonderful that she got to see Elliot live out his dream.
I love Elliot - I never cried so hard watching Idol as I did during his hometown visit, with his mom at his side.

My condolences to the Yamin family. Elliot was one of my favorites early on and I'm glad he is doing well in his career. He made his mother proud.

Such sad news. Claudette seemed like a wonderful, sweet woman and I know Elliott was very close to her. I loved seeing her in the AI audience cheering him on, even though she was in poor health back during AI5. I'm glad she lived to see his success, too, graycat.

I remember this one little moment from Elliott's season in AI that brought tears to my eyes. It was when Elliott was singing Moody's mood for love and Claudette was sitting in an audience crying and looking so overwhelmingly proud of his son. It was really beautiful moment.

Evidently Elliot will perform on Idol tonight! The deal has just been finalized.
