How is it that Scott Stapp (Creed) has been able to change his birth certificate (name - Constantine, age - under 28) and nobody has called him on it?

I said that he reminded me of Scott Stapp at the beginning of this thread or on another one. So you aren't the only one who thinks that.

I think it's awful and ridiculous - but I am curious to hear what fans of his think of like the other "rocker" (categorizing? how lame!) Bo Bice, whom I found to have a much better voice -- and more charisma.

Bo is OK. I like him to go top 12 as well as Constantine. He did a nice job on "Drift Away", but in choosing that song he wasn't exactly stretching himself as an artist. At least Constantine attempted to go a little outside his box with the Seal song.

As for the attraction to Constantine...well, an awful lot of us still get hot for the cocky, bad-boy rocker type. Bo just doesn't project the same image...too nice, somehow.

To me, it's like comparing Anthony Federov to Clay Aiken. Clay had "it" - you could tell from his first audition. Anthony has a nice voice but like Simon said, dull as dishwater. Some are born talented, and some are born to be stars, I guess.

I didn't elaborate because I'm not clear on all of the details and I hate being one of those "well I heard" posters. I have been told by several people who went to BC or worked there that Constantine was once escorted off of the campus by the police for either (this is the part I'm unsure of) stalking or in some way harrassing a female student. These people also speculated as to how long he would remain on the show before a tabloid, etc. discovered this and published the story. They are adamant that his past is not in keeping with AI parameters.
But as far as his ability goes, he has had extensive training at one of the best schools in the US so it should come as no surprise that he's sticking around. However, one must wonder why he is one of the very few BC alum that lacks an equity card (and could thus be on the show).
Anyhow, that's the extent of my knowledge. If I have the chance to get more details, I will share them.

For some reason Constantine reminds me (in looks) of a young Eddie Vedder mixed with Dave Mustaine. Disturbs me every time I look at him.

I TOTALLY see the Dave Mustaine resemblence! That is so funny! It's the shape of his face or something... Fellow 80s' rocker here!

I like Constantine. It pains me to read stories from someone who knows someone who might have been there and seen something that they're not quite sure of.

However, we are all free to post want we want, and this is just my humble opinion.

If we are sharing stories then this is what my friend told me when we were talking about AI:

"i have a funny story about constantine!
sometime last year my friends and i went to see the play RENT in hollywood and he was playing a lead and after the play we went back to meet the actors and he was so SLEAZY and putting the moves on my friend michelle trying to get her to go someplace with him and he was also really arrogant and into himself.
and thats my constantine story."

I believe her but that's just because I know her. I probably wouldn't if I just read it on some message board

Just to clear things up, I don't know someone who knows someone who knows Constantine's neighbor and she said that the kid down the block said... I know several people that know Constantine because they all went to BC together, had classes together, and a few still have contact with him from time to time. "Sleazy" and "arrogant" are descriptors I've heard a few times in reference to him. I do not know him personally so I'm just relaying what I've heard straight from the horses' mouths - and there is no motivation on any of their parts to say such things due to any sort of sour grapes. They all have equity cards and have been doing work in some pretty big productions so it wouldn't be as if they were jealous of him being on AI. Anywho, I'll be back if I get any worthwhile info.
