Kelly the first winner of American Idol has been successful.

Carrie passed her in sales though a couple of years ago. So now Carrie is the top selling contestant ever to be on American Idol I believe.

I love both of them and enjoy their music for different reasons.

Pickler toured almost all year long with Taylor Swift. Carrie has been the top earner every year since she left the show. I'd estimate in the 5+ years $80-$90 million & that may be conservative.

It has just been confirmed that Carrie will be performing on the ACM Awards. Without a current single on the charts, it'll be interesting to see what she chooses.

And, the next night she is one of the women that will be honored with a special concert. It has been announced that she will be singing with her buddy Vince Gill.

Carrie was in DC a couple of days ago for a performance on the George H. W. Bush Service Event for The Points Of Light Institute. Both presidents Bush, Jimmy Carter & Bill Clinton were in the audience. The event took place at The Kennedy Center.

Friday Night April 22 on CBS. Carrie is being honored as the only Female to win Entertainer of the Year twice.

The event at the Kennedy Center for president Bush (the 1st) will air Monday Night the 28th on NBC.
