This year, she did say no to that pageant girl who went terribly off-key on Unchained Melody! Her only problem is that she has trouble saying no to people because she doesn't want to be mean
I guess she was having an off day.

Okay, we HAVE to bump this topic to discuss the return last night of "massively drunk/stoned/medicated Paula".
It was kind of epic. I don't know if she's EVER been this bad before. And she's been pretty out there.
The recent bout of Leatherface has been creeping me out. But at least last night varied that with highly entertaining incoherent babbling of massive proportions.

Paula's behaviour last night in one word: WOW...
What to say of Paula's slurred speech and erratic behaviour. It looked like she could barely balance herself on both feet so Simon had to sit her down before she fell down! GOod grief. I was really embarrassed for her.
"You mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling"
And yet...AI would not be the same without her...
That being said, I still think she's on something, or was...
Forever a Word Nerd
Paula's "critiques" last night were horrendous. I've never seen her more incoherent.
This woman makes me want to vomit every time she opens her mouth. She throws gushy compliments and stupid platitudes at each contestant and often says nothing that makes any sense. Get rid of her - PLEASE!
I don't think Idol would be the same without her. I usually just walk out of the room when she's talkingShe's kind of like the cheerleader for everyone.
I can only please one person a day, today is not your day and tomorrow doesn't look good either
I agree, combatcutie. Paula makes the show. It wouldnt be the same at all without her, but her constant passive agreeing with Randy gets annoying. Can't she ever give criticism on her own in a constructive way?

FOX really needs to consider firing Paula Abdul. Two nights in a row she's obviously on some mind-altering drugs, or alcohol, or a combination of both. Tuesday night, she couldn't stand up on her own, slurred her speech, and babbled incoherently. Tonight, the same exact thing. This is setting a VERY bad example for all the youngsters that are watching this show. It's a trainwreck, and so embarrassing to watch. She should be ashamed of herself. I can only imagine what Randy and Simon have to say once the cameras stop rolling. And for that matter, the contestants.
She's just being her Phe Nomenal self.![]()
