Everything you mentioned here is a part of being in the music industry. It is not Clay's fault that women would swoon over him. Just because he is gay does not make him a fake or a good christian. Again, what he does in his life is his own business. How would you like everyone in the world nit picking at your life? I know I wouldn't, so I give him a lot of credit for maintaining the person he is (good humanitarian, great with kids, wonderful son etc). Like I said, it is your choice to not like him anymore. I just feel that anyone that would abandon him because of his sexual life style really wasn't a fan anyway. JMO
And you shouldn't have to feel this way in real life. People should accept you for YOU, not your sexual preference. That doesn't make you the person you are. *shakes head*
me swooning over clay has nothing to do with him being gay or straight...if he said he was gay 5 years ago I would have swooned as well..Im swooning over GMA (he looked GORGEOUS)
sure Clay will lose some fans, but I think he will gain some to...like that EW article said, now that he is honest his music is worth checking out...I think Clay will be fine...Im excited to see what the future brings.Those fans who are angry that Clay is coming out now and will drop him, how many of them actually go to his concerts, bought his last cd? His sales weren't that good this year.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if news like this really didn't matter to anyone? I have a family member who is in his early 20's and I am one of the few people who he has come out to. His parents are VERY anti gay. Totally intolerant of the lifestyle no matter what. I feel so sorry for him having to live a lie because he is afraid he will be disowned by his family if he admits to who he really is.
what about actors/actresses that make out with someone other than their partner in a movie or tv show? it's called ACTING. acting is what you do in videos too.
not to mention, i know quite a few gay men that LOVE to flirt with women ... it's fun and SAFE because they know there's no pressure for it to go anywhere.

Time Warner's People magazine paid Clay Aiken "somewhere in the neighborhood of $500,000" for his coming-out story and photographs of him with his month-old baby, MSNBC.com's "The Scoop" gossip column reported today (Thursday), citing several sources privy to the negotiations. The amount was trivial compared with other payments to stars for tell-all stories and first pictures of them with their babies. The website said that the low amount was the result of waning competition among magazines for such stories due to the current economy. "People is the [celebrity] magazine that's most well-off, that has the finances right now to take on these exclusives," the column said. It quoted one unnamed editor as saying that paying millions of dollars for exclusive photos of celebrities resulting in a small bump in circulation "isn't worth it. ... and when the economy is the mess it is now, it makes more sense to look at the pictures [while] waiting in line instead of buying the thing
