Really just the bottom two in the end. If your safe, you are safe. One, two, three .... Bragging rights mostly. Sometimes they comment on first call out, and sometimes I think they do it to mess with the viewers minds.

A girl can do top work on week, and fall so far the next that she goes. I honestly think mostly it is week to week and they only look at the body of the work in the final two or if both girls are really close.

But JMO. I know some first call outs have been girls who you never saw comments really, and others have been in the middle of the pack when we saw the pics really praised.

I think some of the first and bottom call outs have been more for TV ratings than anything. And I must note I am not talking specifically about this season for all you Anya fans. She's done great work in her pics. Just ANTM in general.

Again, we're all guessing. Wouldn't it be great if we could plant a bug in the judging room or editing room? Ah, dreams.

everyone knows that past performance in the competition doesn't matter until the final 2.....ANYBODY can be eliminated in 3rd place. Tyra has surprised us before.

the judges mainly evaluate past performance, full portfolio, personality, presence, and all that good stuff in the final 2. so really when it comes to the final 3, the only thing that will matter will be the commercial and photo for covergirl.

They matter alright. They're basically one of the reasons Katarzyna got the boot. Tyra said she didn't excel any photoshoot (Something I disagree with) hence why she was never called first. Ranking? I don't think so, I mean, the first call out is for the contestant that did the best that week overall. If you have three and the person you're standing next to in a bottom two with you has one, you're safe because you've done better overall. There are obvious exceptions though, Tyra's known for pulling some insane stunts. (Saleisha)

she stood next to Whitney who had taken some great pics
but not as good as lauren's

Lauren bombed that week and whitney did ok but was seen as someone fake
