I agree. I LOVED her photo today (it's actually my personal favourite of all her pics so far), even though I think some of the smiling expressions that she was giving during the shoot could have been even more beautiful. I wish we could all see the whole roll of film. With all the praise she was getting, I has hoping she might have gotten called out first again.

I was also really impressed with how she handled the situation with the size-prejudiced designer. She was courteous and professional, and didn't start an argument. She comported herself with grace and dignity.

But I was also inspired by how the situation strengthened her resolve to do well. She isn't just in it for herself, but for a genuine cause (on behalf of curvy women) -- and that deserves respect.

ugh i just can't get over her whining and complaining about being discriminated against because she's plus sized. she acts so entitled, as if she deserves to be a model and the industry has to cater to her.

I didn't not understand the praise for her photo tonight. It looks so forced! The hand pressed against the surface, the mouth open and the eyes looking at the camera. The body does look nice but it so easy to go into a pose like that in water.

I dont get all the Whitney hate, personally I think she's fantastic. She has been taking great pictures and is definitely in the top tier of the girls this cycle. I'd take a plus-size girl over a Size 0 anyday.

Whitney really impresses me this week

When she was doing her photoshoot, hitting the water,and with her fiercee face,I thought she is absolutely amazing

And she is doing great handling the pressure on the go-see

She didn't act entitled though, unless we were watching completely different shows. She said that she understands that not all clients hire plus size girls, and that she was aware that they probably found clients who would be more receptive of the other girls, and not so much her.

Nevertheless, even if you are expecting rejection, it doesn't make it suck any less. I can see where even though she understands, she'd be annoyed. I know I'd be.

I think it's amazing--if a client had said to Fatima, Stacy-Ann, or Dominique, "You're really pretty, but you're black, and we don't really use black girls for stuff"--then EVERYONE would be on that, it would be clearly discriminatory and racist and hateful. Yet when it comes to body size...

There is a flaw to your argument, weight is somewhat controllable, while race is not.

I couldn't care less. I don't think that makes it any more right to discriminate people based on their weight.

Besides, weight always seems controllable for "fat" people. But whenever someone attacks, oh say, a skinny supermodel for her skinniness, people become defensive and think you should back off because "they can't control their metabolism." To a degree, weight is controllable, but there are some people who will always be naturally bigger than others.

I'm not saying its right, but Whitney said herself that she would not be doing the same runway as the other girls. A designer caters to a specific group of people, this one happened to not be catering to plus size. Its not really discrimination, the designer is just not selling Whitney's size. I think they both handled it well, and Whitney said "you never know, maybe she has a friend who needs to book a plus size."

And of course people are build differently, but Whitney (for instance) was not always plus size. Ive seen pictures where she was relatively thin.
