Lauren - Cycle 10

I was really sad to see Lauren go this past wednesday, and I think Dominique should have left instead. That comment that she got for not looking fresh is so true. Every shoot they put on pounds of make up on her to make her look half decent. What do you think will happen when it comes time for the close up CG commercial? I think that will eventually be the reason she is sent home.

Her whole attitude about being a Covergirl and how horrible she did on the commercial was part of the justification. Her walk was horrible and never did improve--sorry, but a walk is important. I am a supervisor and have hiring power and if someone clomped into an interview looking like they hadn't bathed or combed their hair and had just rolled out of bed, I probably wouldn 't hire them. Appearance is a big part in how you get perceived. She is going to need A LOT of work, but if and only if she is willing to put some effort into those fixable problems she has, then she will go far.

Agreed. What got me during this entire episode it was the part where she was getting ready in the morning. All that noise, all that time just to throw on any old thing and still look like a mess.

I agree with you astronix but we all know how much of a role "office politics" plays @ ANTM. Since Covergirl is a sponsor(think $$..cha ching..sound of cash register playing in your head as you read this..and we all know how money talks),Covergirl became a kind of "tripwire" which knocked Lauren out of the competion. I believe if it had not been for the fact that Covergirl is a sponsor($$) that Lauren would still be in the competion. Lauren overall has the best portfolio but as I have said before ANTM is a reality TV show 1st and a modeling show 2nd. Anyway I saw an interview that Lauren just had in the LA Times and in the interview Lauren said that she now works in an art store and that "if she wants to she will pursue modeling." I suspect that ANTM may have turned her off to modeling. She also said that the editing process made her appear at panel as more meek then she really is. She claimed that at panel she was actually to use her own words "lewd and offensive" (Again I can only wonder: what wound up on the cutting room floor that we are not being allowed to see?) On Lauren`s deviantart website Lauren has her email address: [mod edit] and I am going to send her an email telling her how much I enjoyed her being on the show and if she will model in the future.

I had gone to a show and I got this huge bruise and I went to the audition with this huge bruise on my leg, and we had to wear bikinis and stuff, and I had this huge bruise that was the entirety of my leg, so I thought it would be hilarious to put that up. As for the concussion, I have low blood pressure -- I was on my way home and I fell, 'cause I passed out and I cracked my head open. "

Man I miss her already! I knew her elimination was coming, but I am glad she is open minded to modeling still. Hopefully we will hear more from her in the future.

One more thing, Cover Girl is full of s***, seriously. It's the most annoying thing that has ever happened to ANTM along with Skankleisha.
